Creating Open Challenge Statements with AFWERX
What did we do?
In support of AFWERX, we developed, facilitated, and provided domain and technical expertise for a workshop that converted capability gaps into open challenge statements to be shared with industry.
With the goal of creating a repeatable, deliberate, and structured approach to identifying and leveraging commercial technology, we built an Innovation Engagement Strategy workshop framework to be used as a guide for defining and implementing a strategic innovation plan for AFWERX and other innovation organizations as they seek to engage nontraditional industry.
Outcomes
- Created a reusable framework for forumulating open challenge statements to execute a strategic rapid transition plan to leverage emerging technologies
- Generate evaluation criteria to assess potential solutions
- Provide technical and domain expertise to help shape and scope challenge events
