The MITRE Bridging Innovation team recently formed an Ecosystem Partnership with FORGE, a Boston-based nonprofit spun out of Greentown Labs in 2015. Their mission is to help startups who have physical products navigate from prototype to commercialization. These startups span a wide range of sectors like aerospace, advanced materials, robotics, and manufacturing. Over the years FORGE has developed a strong network of suppliers and manufacturers so when a startup turns to them for guidance, they find the right fit for the startup to establish early working relationships and increase their manufacturing readiness. Through their networks they have helped over 350 startups to date. With this new partnership, the Bridging Innovation team will bring MITRE resources to bear to share government challenges, provide technical and domain SMEs for mentoring and support with state-of-the-art prototyping and testing facilities and create customized innovation workshops that benefit the FORGE community. The Bridging Innovation team is looking forward to working together with FORGE to help startups find the right resources to accelerate their technology and scale cutting-edge capabilities that solve problems for a safer world.
