Cleo Robotics is pleased to announce the Dronut has been named as a finalist in the category of Hardware-Platform for the 2020 AUVSI XCELLENCE Awards, through the Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI). The awards recognize the accomplishments of companies, organizations and individuals across the unmanned systems community.
“Being shortlisted for this prestigious award is a great honor for us,” said Omar Eleryan, Chief Executive Officer, Cleo Robotics. “Our mission as a forward-thinking company is to challenge the status quo, and develop safer and more efficient aerial robots that can operate in environments where current drones are unable to go.”
Safety is top of mind for the Boston-based company. While the Dronut is compact in size – built to fit in the palm of one’s hand – it is a safe, intelligent and rugged unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) designed to be rapidly deployed so it can provide its users with key information prior to entering a potentially dangerous and life threatening situation. The Dronut was designed and engineered to operate indoors, work in confined spaces, and most importantly, with people around.
“Each year, thousands of lives are lost on the job. Our mission is to help mitigate these daily risks with the Dronut,” adds Eleryan.
